Private Transfer from MIA to Sunset

A private transfer to or from MIA and Sunset covers 12.2 miles (19.6 km) in about 22 to 33 minutes door to door, riding in a private Black SUV at a flat rate from $120 per vehicle. The driver runs the route on the Palmetto Expressway (SR-826), tracks your inbound flight in real time, and waits curbside when you walk out of the terminal.

What Does a Private Transfer to Sunset Cost? 🪙

The price is fixed per vehicle, locked at booking, and covers the whole group — not charged per person.

  • Black SUV for up to 5 passengers: $120 USD
  • Van for 6 to 9 passengers: $180
  • Van for 10 to 14 passengers: $220

Where Will I Find My Driver at MIA? 🏙️

The driver meets you curbside as you exit the terminal, having tracked your flight in real time. The day before, you receive a text with the driver’s name, vehicle make, and license plate, plus exact curbside instructions. An in-terminal greeter with a name sign is available as an optional paid add-on.

What If My Flight Touches Down Late? ⏰

Nothing changes and nothing extra is charged. The driver tracks your inbound flight, so a delay or an early landing simply shifts the pickup to match. Courtesy waiting is built in — 2 hours for international flights and 1 hour for domestic — and the re-timing itself is free.

Do You Price Per Vehicle or Per Person? 🏦

The rate is per vehicle, not per person. Your whole group rides for the one flat price shown in the prices section above, whether the Black SUV carries two travelers or five. The number of passengers only decides which vehicle tier you book, never a per-head charge.

Do Rides Late at Night Cost Extra? 🌌

Daytime hours run 7:00 AM to 9:00 PM with no surcharge. A trip that falls outside that window adds a small amount on top of the flat fare.

  • SUV (1-5 passengers): +$20 USD surcharge per trip outside daytime hours.
  • Van (6-14 passengers): +10% surcharge over the trip value for trips outside daytime hours.

What Comes With the Flat Rate? 🧳

The rate is all-in for the ride itself. Tolls, SunPass, and fuel are already covered, so nothing is added for the highway. Flight tracking is included: the driver follows your inbound flight and is ready at the curb when you exit. Courtesy waiting comes built in — 2 hours for international arrivals, 1 hour for domestic, and 15 minutes for a hotel pickup — and a delayed or early flight is re-timed at no extra cost. Onboard WiFi runs off a mobile hotspot, and sealed bottled water is on board. The driver texts their details the day before and helps load and unload every bag. The first child seat for a child under 5 is free.

What added fees might come up?

Several items fall outside the base fare. Being met inside the terminal with a name sign is a paid optional extra — curbside pickup is the standard inclusion. Every child seat past the first adds a small charge confirmed at booking. Once the courtesy waiting window closes, additional time bills in 30-minute blocks. Card or payment-link charges carry a 4% bank fee. Food, drinks, and driver gratuity are excluded, with tipping always optional. Unplanned stops are not covered, though a brief nearby stop set up beforehand can usually be arranged.

Beyond MIA: Do You Cover Other Airports and Drop-offs? 🚐

Pickups run from MIA and PortMiami. Drop-offs, though, reach well beyond — the private transfer can take you from Sunset onward to other airports, ports, and cities across the region. Whatever the destination, it stays a private vehicle reserved for your group at a flat, pre-locked rate.

What makes us better than Uber or Lyft?

A better-organized, premium ride — fixed price, an assigned driver, and a pickup timed to your flight — for a significantly lower overall price than Uber Black or Lyft Lux.

Feature Us Uber Lyft
Pricing Flat rate locked at booking Surges 1.5×–4× at peak Surges 1.5×–4× at peak

A single reservation and one synchronized pickup, at a significantly lower price than a surging Uber Black or Lyft Lux.

Uber, Uber Black, Lyft, and Lyft Lux are the trademarks of their respective holders. We have no affiliation with, sponsorship from, or endorsement by any of them. The comparison draws on publicly available pricing as of 2026.

How Is Payment Handled for This Transfer? 🏦

Payment runs through Venmo, Zelle, or a secure payment link; a card or link payment carries a 4% bank fee. Full cash payment at pickup is not accepted.

  • Round trip: a round trip is simply double the one-way price for the vehicle you choose.
  • Deposit (Miami-side pickup): a pickup on the Miami side confirms with a 50% deposit, and the remaining 50% may be paid to the driver on trip day, cash accepted.
  • Reverse direction: some pickups from farther areas are asked to pay in full in advance.

What’s the Smartest Way to Travel from MIA to Sunset? 🚐

The direct way is a private door-to-door transfer: one reserved vehicle, one driver, no stops for other riders. After you book, the driver texts their name, vehicle make, and license plate the day before, then meets you curbside at MIA when your flight lands. From the terminal the route heads southwest on the Palmetto Expressway (SR-826) toward Sunset, so the whole journey is a single quiet ride with your bags loaded for you. Pick the vehicle that matches your group — a Black SUV for up to 5 travelers, a private Mercedes-Benz Sprinter van for 6 to 9, or the larger private van for 10 to 14. Booking runs through WhatsApp or email; a request placed 24 or more hours ahead confirms fastest, and last-minute requests are still reviewed by hand when a vehicle is open. The driver handles parking, luggage, and navigation while you settle in.

How Much Baggage Am I Allowed? 🧳

The included allowance is 1 checked bag plus 1 carry-on per passenger, and the driver loads and unloads everything. Traveling with extra or oversized bags? Message us on WhatsApp before the trip and we will confirm the space or size up to a larger private van so it all fits.

What Makes Our Private Transfer Team Worth Riding With? 💎

The rate is flat and locked the moment you book — traffic, demand, and time of day never change it. Every trip is a bilingual driver who speaks English plus Spanish or Portuguese, so arrival questions get a clear answer. The vehicle is reserved for your group alone; nobody else is picked up along the way. Driver details land in a text the day before with curbside instructions, and the same person loads and unloads your luggage at both ends. Booking and changes happen over direct WhatsApp — a real reply, not a queue. The company has run in Miami for more than five years and operates 24/7, year-round, so a red-eye landing or a dawn departure is handled the same careful way as a midday pickup. You reserve once and the ride is confirmed, driver named, and flight watched.

What’s Waiting Around Sunset? 🏙️

Sunset is a calm, largely residential pocket of southwest Miami-Dade — tree-lined streets, single-family neighborhoods, and everyday shopping and dining rather than a tourist strip. It reads as a settled suburban district, useful as a base for visitors with family, business, or campus ties in the southwest part of the county, and an easy launch point for the wider metro.

What kind of feel does the neighborhood have?

This part of town is quiet and suburban — local plazas, parks, and community services threaded between the homes. It fits travelers who value space and calm over nightlife, yet central Miami’s bustle is only a quick highway run away. The Sunset name travels well beyond this district — from a well-known lifestyle magazine to an alternative makeup studio — but locally it simply names a residential Miami-Dade neighborhood.

What do visitors and business travelers find nearby?

Shopping centers, casual and sit-down restaurants, green space, and the medical and academic institutions that bring many visitors to this side of the county fill the surrounding southwest corridor. From Sunset, the private transfer connects smoothly onward to Brickell, downtown, or the beach districts — so staying here works for a family visit, a conference, or a quiet base away from the crowds.

What Private Vehicle Suits Your Party? 🚐

Three private vehicle tiers cover this route, each reserved for your party only.

  • Private Black SUV / SUV XL: up to 5 passengers, ideal for couples, small families, or business travelers with standard bags.
  • Private Mercedes-Benz Sprinter van (6-9): room for mid-size groups traveling together with luggage.
  • Private Mercedes-Benz Sprinter van (10-14): the largest option, for full families or teams moving in one vehicle.

If your group sits near the edge of a tier, message us on WhatsApp before booking and we will size the vehicle to the headcount and bags.

Can You Take Me from Sunset to PortMiami? 🚐

Yes. The same private transfer runs from Sunset to PortMiami for a cruise departure, in the Black SUV or a private van sized to your group. The fare stays flat and per vehicle, the driver handles luggage, and the pickup is timed to your sailing so you reach the terminal with margin.

MIA to Sunset: Fast Numbers 🏙️

  • MIA to Sunset runs 12.2 miles, about 22 minutes off-peak.
  • Rush-hour traffic stretches the same drive to roughly 33 minutes.
  • The Palmetto Expressway (SR-826) carries most of the route.
  • Black SUV seats 5; private vans fit 6-9 or 10-14 riders.
  • Daytime hours run 7:00 AM to 9:00 PM with no surcharge.
  • The driver reaches the MIA curb as you exit arrivals.
  • Sunset sits in southwest Miami-Dade County.

What’s the Travel Time to Sunset? ⏰

The drive covers 12.2 miles (19.6 km) and takes about 22 minutes when the roads are clear. In peak commuter windows — weekday mornings and late afternoons — the same 12.2 miles runs closer to 33 minutes, an eleven-minute spread depending purely on traffic on the Palmetto Expressway (SR-826). The flat fare does not move with that clock: a slow crawl at 5 PM costs exactly what a quick midday run costs, because the price is per vehicle and set at booking. To land on the shorter end, an off-peak departure — mid-morning or mid-evening — usually clears the expressway fastest. Whatever the hour, the driver watches your flight, so an early or delayed arrival simply shifts the pickup, and the meter stays untouched. Door to door, plan for roughly a half hour and you will have margin on either side.

All Set to Lock In Your MIA Transfer? ✍️

Send your flight number, pickup date and time, passenger count, and bag count over WhatsApp or email, and we confirm the vehicle and driver for your trip to or from MIA and Sunset. Book 24 or more hours ahead for the smoothest confirmation; last-minute requests are still reviewed by hand. Cancellations are fully refunded with 24 or more hours notice.

Frequently Asked Questions
We answer the most common questions we receive from travelers.

🕑 How early should I lock in my booking?

Aim for a full day — 24 hours — before pickup. Around holidays and packed weekends, the sooner you reserve, the more vehicle options we can hold for you.

🌍 I'm abroad — can I still reserve?

Of course. Bookings come in from every corner of the world; international payments are no problem, and updates reach you over WhatsApp and email.

⚡ Do you accept same-day or last-minute requests?

We operate on advance reservations only. Four hours ahead is the practical minimum, and a same-day slot depends entirely on availability — it can’t be promised.

🏧 What's the deposit to confirm?

A part-payment locks your reservation: 50% when the total is under $199 USD, and 30% once it reaches $200 USD or more.

💸 Is paying fully in cash at pickup possible?

Not fully. The vehicle is secured with a 50% deposit sent by Zelle or our payment link; whatever remains can be handed to the driver in cash on arrival.

🏨 Is service limited to the airport?

Not at all — hotels, cruise ports, train stations, restaurants and private homes are all regular stops for us.

🚌 Which vehicles can I choose from?

The fleet runs from XL SUVs for small parties to 12- and 14-seat vans, plus full-size buses holding 40 to 54 riders — a fit for big events.

💍 Do you handle weddings and special occasions?

Gladly — weddings, corporate conferences, VIP outings and similar events all get a tailored quote; just message us.

🔌 Will I have Wi-Fi or charging ports?

Part of the fleet carries Wi-Fi and USB outlets. Flag it when booking if you depend on either, and we’ll assign a vehicle that has both.

🔒 Could strangers join my ride?

Never — every transfer is private. The vehicle belongs to your group alone from pickup to drop-off.

🛬 My flight changed — early, delayed, canceled?

Relax: we follow your flight live and slide the pickup to match, with no fee for the adjustment.

📨 How do I report a flight change?

Send over the new details the moment you have them; we update the booking and keep watching the revised flight.

🪧 Can someone meet me inside the terminal?

Standard pickup is curbside — text your exit door and the car pulls up within minutes, typically faster than a sign-holder. An in-terminal greeting with your name on a sign is available for $20 if you prefer it.

🚙 How do I spot my driver?

A day ahead you receive the driver’s name, the vehicle model and its plate number, plus step-by-step curbside instructions.

📵 What if the driver doesn't answer?

Stay calm — a message goes out to you as soon as your plane touches down. No quick reply? The driver walks to the international arrivals hall to look for you there. Nobody gets left behind.

⏲️ How long is the free waiting window?

Sixty minutes after a domestic landing, a two-hour courtesy on international arrivals, 15 minutes at hotels, and up to an hour past the agreed time at the port.

🚪 What if leaving the airport takes me over two hours?

With two free hours already included it’s rare, but beyond that the trip can be treated as a no-show. Extra waiting can be added at US$ 30 per additional 30-minute block, paid in cash directly to the driver.

💪 Is luggage help included?

Yes — loading and unloading your bags is part of the driver’s job.

🎸 What about oversized or extra items?

One large case plus one carry-on per rider is standard. Extra suitcases, instruments, mobility gear or strollers? Tell us beforehand so the right space is set aside; a supplement may apply.

🐈 Are cats and dogs welcome?

Small pets ride happily — inside a secure carrier — as long as you mention them ahead of time.

🚼 Do you supply car seats for kids?

One seat for a child under five comes free; additional seats are US$ 15 each when requested in advance.

🍔 Can we snack on board?

Please hold the food for later — only sealed bottled water is fine during the ride.

🛑 Are mid-route stops allowed?

They’re not part of the base fare, but a brief nearby stop arranged beforehand can usually be worked in; a small time-based fee may apply.

🔄 Can my pickup time move after I book?

Sure — with at least 24 hours’ warning we’ll re-slot it, subject to availability.

💯 Any surprise fees on top of the quote?

None — the quote is the final figure. Tipping the driver is optional, always appreciated, never required.
